Foundation

The Kaikki Foundation was born from the desire to contribute to world peace and to encourage children to get to know their own individual place and talents, be responsible global citizens and have a well-developed view of the big picture. We have arrived at a time where the entire world is connected through the Internet, rapid transportation options as well as having an intrinsic interest in each other. The child is a citizen of the world, it is therefore important to teach our children using the most innovative techniques to see the world from different cultural and ideological perspectives so that they are prepared to deal with other views on world and global issues.

Children will learn to work together in different ways and learn to take decisions together, they will learn to develop attitudes and skills that will prepare them for their role as citizens in the Dutch and Global societies. To do so they will have to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience using the most innovative materials and applications.

One of the key principles is to apply high ethical standards in primary schools, out of respect for fellow human beings, nature and earth. The welfare and involvement of children is the core of competencies and performance.

Kaikki means “all” and “everything” in Finnish.

Leonardo da Vinci said: “Realise that everything connects to everything else.” Foundation Kaikki therefore means the whole.

It is important to show the children that no event stands on its own in the world. A child needs to feel that everything is interconnected and what his or her place is in this world. By teaching them responsibility for this big picture will contribute to bringing about a peaceful global society.
